Cocktails Comedy & Cambodia by Touch Sala Bai


Join us on Thursday, August 24 for an evening of cocktails and comedy, and help fight poverty and human trafficking in Cambodia.

All event proceeds will be donated to the Sala Bai Hotel School of Siem Reap. Since 2002, Sala Bai has provided free vocational education to the poorest young Cambodians. With a focus on women, 100% of students have obtained jobs within 3 months of graduation at 3 times previous household incomes. At our event, learn more about how you can support this inspirational program in Singapore and Cambodia.

About Touch Sala Bai
Touch Sala Bai (TSB) is a Singapore-based society and US non-profit organization, whose mission is to fight poverty and human trafficking through education and employment in hospitality. In pursuit of its mission, TSB exclusively supports the Sala Bai Hotel School of Siem Reap, Cambodia with funding, partnerships and expertise. Sala Bai is a model solution to alleviating poverty and its consequences. In 14 years, the School has graduated more than 1300 students (70% women, aged 17-23) from its free, 11-month training program and secured 100% employment at minimum 3 times previous annual household incomes. In 2014, Sala Bai broke ground on its new school, and training hotel and restaurant in Siem Reap. Completed in November 2015, the new school will increase student intake by 50% to 150 annually, while increasing sustainability to 50% of operating expenses through revenues earned by the training hotel and restaurant, and alumni association.

About Deepak Chandran
Deepak is a comic who does comedy because he hates Cliché's, corporate culture, established norms of supremacies, authority. His comedy reflects his upbringing, relatable struggles of a corporate rat, larger view of the world from the nomadic life lived till date !
Is a regular in the best venues of Singapore, and is a budding Comic, with a lot of promise, as per his girlfriend.
